Screen Shot

Phantom Desktop Screen Saver, when activated, hides all application windows, desktop icons and the MS Windows taskbar, replacing them with an empty desktop.

This empty desktop can be the standard wallpaper image, or a custom bitmap and can also be optionally configured to dissolve to a simple black background.

Code

Free source code for the Phantom Desktop Screen Saver is also available from the author, Gregory Braun.

Phantom Desktop is written in the C Language (not MFC/C++) using the Microsoft Visual C/C++ v6.0 Development System. Source code includes the project files and resource scripts required to build the Phantom Desktop Screen Saver applet.

Phantom Desktop source code is provided on an as-is basis. The source code is well documented, but assumes that the user has a good working knowledge of the C Language and the Win32 API. The author can not help you convert this code to MS Visual BASIC.

The Phantom Desktop source illustrates the code required to build a 32-bit MS Windows 9x/NT Screen Saver applet as well as routines to load and manipulate bitmap images.
